A beginners adventure into film from an audience member to behind the camera

Short film of the Week: Blinky

This film is the the reason I will likely finally start trying to learn CGI and not just talk about getting around to it. The compelling story about a young boy (Played by Max Records from Where the Wild things Are) and his robot friend, is written and directed by Ruairi Robinson, a previously Oscar nominee in 2002, for Best Animated Short Film.

His use of CGI here really just enhances the story instead of taking away from it like a lot of modern CGI can do. In fact, you become so caught up in the rich characterizations that you forget that there is some brilliant workmanship that has taken place before your very eyes.

A must see.
