A beginners adventure into film from an audience member to behind the camera

Short film of the Week: The Gift

I have seen several of the submissions for the Phillips film contest Parallel Lines. It’s a contest where everyone gets the same short script and its up to you to interpret it, cast it, and shoot your own story. This piece is done by Carl Erik Rinsch and its definitely worth the watch.

This is absolutely stunning visually, brilliant CG work is done to immerse the viewer in an age where machines have risen to a much more integral part of society, intermixed with a sort of Russian cold era way of life.

I won’t add any spoilers for it, but watch it.
