A beginners adventure into film from an audience member to behind the camera

Short film of the week: Obito

Caught this recently on DVXuser and it was impressing to see a silent film for a change. The score they chose compliments this eerie and very visual piece perfectly

Its about 5 young campers who stumble onto an abandoned cabin in the woods only to be stalked by a mysterious stranger.

Its a reminder to me to keep things fresh visually and how important it is to plan your shots ahead of time. It also reminds me of that Hitchcock principle you should be able to turn off the volume of any film and still follow the story, this film does this perfectly.

Shot on an HVX200 according to the director, hoping he will share some details about how he lit and graded this.
