A beginners adventure into film from an audience member to behind the camera

First Documentary Shot

I just shot my first documentary. Now we have a ton of footage (roughly 2 hours) to edit down to about 10 mins or so (possibly more but class rules say 10 mins).

Learned a lot, documentary film making is definetly a lot different from filming a short. We struggled at times with the time constraints to shoot (about 2 and a half hours) and we learned that you have to keep asking questions different ways until you finally get some elaboration (especially when interviewing kids).

The Documentary is tentatively titled:
Beat the Streets in the Ring: The Santa Fe Boxing Club

Hope to have the editing finished in the next 4-5 weeks.

303 is still in the works, we have all the storyboards completed and have it cast just waiting to schedule the shoot.

Im writing a script for a longer short (hopefully 15-25mins) tentatively titled Blue Baloon, i have some really good ideas about this one.
